ok here is the problem ... play on pogo all the time for 3 yrs now i get one game and windows does the close now thing to me every time after just one game. been happing 2 weeks and nobody knows y ! did reinstall windows and upgraded from xp to pro have sun java and all browers do it ... ie6 opra and mozilla all the same thing same time same way i need someone to help plsease im going crazy

384 mbs ram
plenty of disk space
xp pro
all broswers go to 100% cpu usuage and i have to end if it dont on its own
problem just came up couple weeks ago used to be fine and i changed noting known to cause this.

do you have a pop up blocker? even if you dont think so right off , if you have say for example: norton firewall, google toolbar, earthlink...... alot of the other browsers have ad blocker software installed also. if this is not the case try a online virus scan with trend(housecall), panda, rav, or symantec(norton) double check your on-board.

no i diable the pop up blocker (cant get in with it on) and the firewall and virus scan have always been here, nothing new there. thats why im so confused

right click the internet explorer icon and select properties, delete files, check offline content. delete cookies, and clear history. then click the other tabs and default everything that has a defualt option. if this does not help, download service pack 1 and reinstall it, then download the java virtual machine security update. my wife and i both have used pogo for years, usually any trouble we have is from temp files or a corrupt virtual machine. being i was at pogo not 30 minutes ago playing high stakes poker we can rule out the site has problems.

the 1st thing i did was dump temp files and cookies do it every couple days anyway , that what i was thinking 2, ill try the java thing when this house thing is done and go from there, i emailed pogo and they just keep telling me about the temp files also, they dont help at all, several others have had that problem 2 that also is confusing me but i did redo serv pack 1 and willl try the jave if this dont work ty so much !!!

ok no virus and emtpy inet files, already had jave update installed
2 of them
gonna try pogo again wish me luck and we can see if anything made a diference even tho we didnt do anything really, i do want to thank u for the help and if u think of anything else pls let me know, my mind is blank and hubbys is 2!

hey i got it fixed
if anyone else has this problem what i did is checked the java secutiry update like he said and i had it already so i reinstalled java . with the newest version agian (i had it to begin with) but redid all that anyway nad uninstalled on of the updates and it works perfect again. so thanks so much for all the help!!!!!!!!! never would have thought of it on my own. so ty vm, its the one update that messed it up or maybe i had a bad download but it worked when i 1st downloaded it then messed up with the update , cant believe i didnt think of that! but thanks foro the help, i can play again yippeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

glad to hear you got it, and thanks very much for telling everyone how and what fixed it. alot of people read these forums after doing a search for simular problems.
