Unhappy Xp Pro Update > Back To Home Edition

my pc came with XP Home editon, however i went out and got the Professional Upgrade Version and installed it.....and now, my printer and some other hardware is'nt working.....however did with XP home, quite odd, and doesnt make sense to me their...so i called Microsoft and the first thing i asked was if this was a chaged call....and, of course it was....but, i'd like to get back to XP home edition without formatting again!....seeing how this is the upgrade version of pro and not the full....i'd figure its possible....i thought it was listed in the add/remove programs, i swear i've seen it thier on some computer...however, how is this done. if all else fails, i'll fomatt...but, ive done it so many times with the last month i wouldnt doubt if it wasnt making or may make problems in the future...even done correctly.....i'd just really hate to install all my software again. any know how to do this? thanks alot.

iv'e check the makers of the hardware sites for patches too...they arnt making any differnece.

i ended up figuring this issue out....when i had installed XP pro update version, the hardware's USB cord had been plugged in, so i uninstalled all items in the device manger listed under UBS, got the MS update for SP1 that deals with this specific issue, restarted the pc.....the USB hub/s were reconized....then i re-installed the sofware to my harware....and all is well, thanks anyway.
