Unhappy Outlook 2003 and RPCSS

Toshiba 1115-S103
Intel Celeron 1.50GHz
256MB RAM
20GB HD
Windows XP Home Edition Ver 2002 SP 1
Norton Antivirus

I recently installed Microsoft Office 2003 and everything seemed to be working fine for a few days. However, currently whenever I open Outlook 2003 and click on the Inbox, the svchost.exe that runs the service RpcSs uses 95+% of the CPU and does not stop even if I end Outlook. It just seems to go off to lala land. I have left it running for over 10 minutes with nothing else open and it just keeps running with the system CPU usage at 100%. I have used ad-aware to rid my system of any spyware. I have installed all the critical updates to date to my system. I have tried repairing my Office 2003 install. I am at a loss. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

PS. If I start Outlook by running "Outlook /safe" I do not have any problems. I do not have any Outlook Add-ins selected. So what could it be?
