Upgrade XP Home to PRO???

I have a 2.4 P4 512RAM pc with XP home. Have had it for about 9 months. I've had periodic glitches etc ...

As a home user, will I benefit much from a Pro Upgrade?? Is Pro more stable??

What other benefits might I get??

Thanks and sorry if the question is too broad - just looking for info.

There's no difference in stability between Home and Pro. The only things that Pro has that Home doesn't is basically a few advanced network features that you can read about at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../choosing2.asp. Other than those features, Pro and Home are just the same. If you are not an advanced user or if you are not on a network, then going to XP Pro would not be worth your while. Only switch versions if you absolutely must have one of the features in the above link.
