Search Pops Up On Any Folder Double Click?

Don't quite know what happened, maybe i'm lacking in the knowledge department but, perhaps ya'll can lend a hand. After changing around afew of my icon images (.gif,.mpeg, etc...) with newer more fashionable icons easier on the eye, i finished my project and and got ready to go into my computer. When i double clicked the icon on my desktop, the search window popped up instead. I was able to right click and enter that way, but when i double clicked on my C drive.... alas the same thing. I slaved over the folder options thinking i did something wrong, but no. It seems that ALL of my folders are this way now, not the end of the world but it is really pissing me off . I ran my updated virus scan (Norton)along with my plethora of spyware software (spywareblaster, S&D, ETC...)and nothing. Any hints?

Goto Start-->Run and type "regsvr32 /i shell32.dll" (without the quotes) then press enter.

People come here all the time with the same issue. Normally it is suggested to use a reghack from a site called kellys-korner but I found this easier fix just the other day.
