Outlook Express & I.E. 6

Please can anyone tell me why the following is suddenly happening?

1.
Any links within emails of outlook express no longer work and I have changed nothing within outlook express to warrant this.

2.
Internet explorer is suddenly opening a link window in small window and again this never happened before.

If anyone can help with this I would be most grateful.

Finally as a last thought just how much of one's settings does XP really save? Is it as good as 3.1 saving window sizings etc etc?
