xp pro upgrade networking problem

I just upgraded a computer from ME to XP Pro. Before the upgrade I was able to access the network no problem. The upgrade went fine, but now under the Local Area Connection icon it says "Network Cable Unplugged". This computer's LAN cable is plugged into a hub. I did nothing to the hub during or after the upgrade that should have affected anything. I have tried plugging the cable into a different port in the hub and have also unplugged the hub, and pressed the Uplink button. The cable from the hub to my router is fine. Everyone else on the network is still connected. I have made sure that I have the Workgroup name entered correctly. When I run the Network Troubleshooter and have it detect my settings it says to make sure that I am not using a username that is already being used on the server. I am using the same user name that was used before the upgrade.

I am not sure what to check next. Any suggestions would be great.
