trouble deleting file-write protected file

hello everyone, my name is pmansredy.

Ive been having trouble deleting some files that my mcaffee antivirus program say that might be potentially dangerous. maybe they are maybe there not but i just want them out any ways. Ive tried this: disabling my mcaffe antivirus, removing the program from the control panel add/remove function. then clicking on the file holding down shift+delete button at the same time. This got rid of most of them but not all of them. The files that are lef are called: ADWARE-VERTICITY, ADWARE-MEMWATCHER, ADWARE-EZULA, ADWARE-BB, ADWARE-TOPMOXIE, ADWARE-ISTBAR.B, ADWARE-STATBLASTER, ADWARE-SAVENOW, ADWARE-BROWSERAID. IF ANY ONE HAS A SOLUTION IT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATTED. I am running windows xp proffesiional, i run dsl, please message me with results thanx pmansredy

What does it say when you try to delete them? Do you get an error?

It's better to post answers/suggestions on the board instead of messaging you so that they can help others who may have the same problem as you.

it just says disk is full, file write-protected in a red circle press ok or x out thats all it says

You should be able to delete the files that way, if nothing else.
