simple question re: xp backup files

i installed xp (home) sp1 one a while ago and when asked during installation i decided to make back up files just in case.
i been with sp1 for a while now and it looks like i'm gonna stick with it so i am wondering where exactly are these backup files so i can delete them and free up some space?

i know there are some hidden files which i do believe to be just the uninstall files to all of the various xp updates in c:\windows, do these contain the backup files or are they elsewhere?

search for file with extension bkf ( or *.BKF) on your hard drive, that would be your backup file unless you back it up externally to another device.
