slow browsers

I have windows xp on a fast computer with a cable internet, Recently my browsers have become really slow. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I have both netscape and internet explorer. They are equally slow.

It could be a number of things. What browsers are you using? It could be that XP does alot in the background, and thats what could be slowing you down. I know many people who have given up on XP in favor of Windows 2000 for performance and security reasons.
