Hi;
Can the XP DISKPART utility split a partition?
I have a friend's comp with a 32gig drive, that has only one NTFS partition using the whole drive.
He want's me to split it up into two more partitions, to install a second XP, and a third file storage partition - he wants so that his kids can stop messing up his business comp with hairy stuff they download...using seperate profiles isn't cutting it.
Anywhoo...I tested it on a drive here with one partition the full size of the drive, and one instance of XP Pro installed - no go. (I couldn't even make extended partitions or logical drives.)
Normally, I use third party partitioning utilities and boot loaders for all my multi-booting, but I've always done my partitioning on a raw drive.
So, do I need to get Partition Magic 8, or is there something I'm missing in the command lines of DISKPART.
Help much appreciated.
