Aargggghhhh Xp Pro

Ive installed xp pro, clean ntfs format, ( but from an innitial 98 start up floppy)
I cant get media player or real player, flash etc to work, it keeps coming up saying its sorry but these devices have a problem,
Im on a pc chips m810 m/board with 2000 amd athlone
( media player 6.4 works ok)
Also it locks up spasmodically, and the H/D is REALLY noisy
whats going on??????????????/ please help im loosin sleep

If the HD is REALLY noisy, that could mean that it is about to fail.

If it is a clean install on a formatted disk, then it is a driver/hardware problem; make sure you have the latest BIOS and device drivers for your hardware.

WHat is the EXACT error you get with these programs?
