XP Stop Error Codes

I am getting a Stop error and a whole lot technical data. Can anyone here tell what it means and most importantly how to fix it?

I am not sure what specs you need so this will probably be overkill.

Computer:
AMD-K6-2 motherboard
256MB RAM
XP Home Edition 2002
Drive1 - 13 GB
Drive2 - 80GB
Internal Atapi Zip Drive
eVGA Video Card v.8.2 (32MB RAM)

STOP ERROR CODE:
0x0000007E (0xc0000005, 0XF9D11945, 0xF9E649B0, 0xF9E649B0)

kbdclass.sys - Address F9D11945 base at F9D1100, DateStamp 3b7d82f3

Maybe someone can point to somewhere?

I had the same problem. However, this article http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q321637 is for SoundBlaster Live Value boards. Maybe uninstall and reinstall drivers. worked for me.
Hope that helps.

btw, this article came up when I used M$ help site with the error # you supplied. As to your keyboard problem, kbdclass is a driver. Suggest you do a repair install, as it is probably corrupt. That's as much as I know. As always, do a back up. Learned the hard way. Also, the info you supplied is exactly what is needed.

I think I came accross that before.

Before trying a Repair Install, try this.

Boot from the XP CD and go into the Recovery console.

At c:\windows Type "disable kbdclass", and then press ENTER.
You receive a message that the registry setting for this service was found, and that its current startup state is "service_disabled".

Then reboot and see how it goes.

GOOD LUCK, and let us know how it turns out.
