"Acces Denied" to other partitions after reinstalling XP

I've had a few problems with my installation of XP, after 2 years i decided to install a fresh copy of windows xp. I made backups on 2 logical disks d: and e: (which contain also other important files). After installing xp on my primary partition c: i can't acces the other partitions anymore!!! i simply get a "Acces Denied" message, if i go to the properties of the disk i can't see any information about permissions and so on. I also can't see the disk usage and the file format is "RAW" instead of NTFS.
If i go to "Computer Management" -> "Disk Management" i can see that both partitions are still in the ntfs format...
I'm sure that everthing is still intact on the disks but i cannot acces it!!!! Aaaaaaah!

Please help!!!! this is out of my league...

I've solved the problem

Normally I never use 'Simple file sharing' in Windows Xp, but after installing a fresh copy of Xp I forgot to turn off the 'Simple file sharing' (it's default 'on').
So after turning it off i could take back ownership of my harddisks

thx anyway snowmonkey!
