Image preview in Window Explorer

When I open my window explorer, how do set, so that when I click an image file, the preview will be seen or if it is a music file, a tiny player will be there in window explorer. Hope you all understand what I'm trying to ask here. Thanks.

you should have a 'views' option on the browers, it has the options for thumbnails, tiles, icons, list, and details. You want to select thumbnails!

That is not really what I meant. It is just when you click that normal image file, the preview is on the left. If you click a audio file, there is one little media player in the same place.

My question is back to the initial post, how do I make that happen? Currently, I couldn't see those preview (not views option like you mention). Ok, in Window 98, in view option, it has as web page. But what about in Window XP? I don't think it is the same in Window XP.

Thats simple, all you have to do is click "Tools" then "Folder Options" There should be a little box that says "Tasks" Click the button by "Show common tasks in folders." Hope that helped.

Oh, I think i see what you are saying. If I am not mistaken that has been removed from WindowsXP, either in the original reliece or an update, I am not sure, but it's not longer a feature. (You wanna play the file in explorer's preview window on the left, not Media Player or whatnot right).

You have to activate the (btw) default web view. In Windows Explorer , in the General tab , just set the first frame option (the frame is called Tasks) to the first option. (Not the Use classic Windows folders).

That's it.

It did set to the first option and not classic one. I got to know from someone that Window XP update or service pack remove this feature. Is that true?

Ok, my web server really doesn't like hosting pics, so if you wanna see an example of what this person wants download the image below. Sorry I can't post it, I tried, it wouldn't show the image.

yeah, this is what I mean (attachment). I guess Window XP service pack or update has removed this feature. Don't know why.
