Unhappy Shutdown error message

When shutdown is in progress on my XP system, I get an error message stating that the instruction at 0x77f51baa referenced at memory 0x00000010 cannot be written. This occurs almost every shutdown, but not always. My programs and system seem to be working properly. Is there anyway to find out what is causing the problem? The shutdown completes whether I press OK or not.

Does it list a file at any time?

It could be from an program that is turning off, what are running when you shut down?

Yes, it appears that an active program is in the shutdown mode, but I don't know which one. There are 35 programs working in the background prior to shutdown. All are Windows or Viral protection programs. I am asking if anyone knows the specifc program writing to that address.

A program does not write to a specific address, it is different everytime.

Turn off all your Startup programs, and then turn them on a few at a time until the error repeats.

Unfortunately it does not happen each and everytime. However, the message is exactly the same each time.
