Chipset Drivers

How the heck do I figure out what chipset drivers to download and install? I think I need to download the latest versions but I don't know what I'm even looking for. Thank you for your help.

Oh yeah, and I am almost 100% positive I can't use any intel drivers, I downloaded a program off the intel website that would identify what drivers I needed and it said mine were unrecognized. So I'm guessing they aren't what I need.

Usually chipset drivers are provided by whomever you bought your computer from.

In order to download drivers, you would need to know the Manufacturer and EXACT model number of your motherboard.

I say exact because a company like MSI makes motherboards with Intel, VIA, etc. chiopsets, it all depends on the model.

Um, I'm not quite sure what to do. My computer isn't a name brand...I got it off an infomercial and it's built of all kinds of different parts. The casing says Systemax but there are no chipset drivers for Systemax...at least I haven't found any. Any ideas?

this is also a very good and free program to check you hardware (and software, network) parameters Aida

Run the program, it checks hardware and so on...than you can see all info about every piece of hardware in your pc, copy the relevant info and post it her

-> motherboard
-> CPU (right mouse clik to copy all info)
->motherboard (same trick to copy)
->chipset (...copy info)
