deleted user account

I deleted a user account and all the files in it by mistake. Is there a way to get the files and the user back. Restore didn't help.

The user is gone and lost. If the files were critical, you can use a data recovery program to dig them up. I use GetDataBack (do a search for it on download.com). Usually if anything is salvagable, that program will find it.
