Automate Local Folder Permission over the network??

I have close to 100 workstations that I need to set folder permission on for a particular user. They are lab computers so each user login is the same. I am looking for a way to automate this through a network login. Maybe gpedit.msc, the registry, etc. I am running a Netware 5 network. I need to set the following, any ideas:

Windows XP Pro by default does not allow permissions to be set at the folder level. There will be no "Security" tab in the folder properties until you turn off "Simplified File Sharing" as shown below:

With new XP Start Menu and Control Panel:
1. Click "Start".
2. Click "Control Panel".
3. Click "Appearance and Themes".
4. Click "Folder Options".
5. Click the "View" tab.
6. Scroll to the bottom of the "Advanced settings:" list.
7. Uncheck "Use Simplified File Sharing(Recommended)".
8. Click Apply.
9. Click OK.

C:\WINDOWS\ -
1. Login to the workstation as the local Administrator.
2. Open "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer".
3. Navigate to the C: drive.
4. Right-Click the C:\WINDOWS\ folder
5. Click "Properties"
6. Click the "Security" tab.
7. Verify that the users or groups the students and teachers will use are listed in the "Group or User name:" box. If they are listed, continue to the next step. If they are not listed follow the steps in the next section to add the users.
8. Highlight the user or group you will change the permissions on.
9. Change their permissions to only be "Read & Execute", "List Folder Contents", and "Read".
10. Click "Advanced"
11. Highlight the same user or group from Step 6 in the "Permission Entries:" list.
12. Click the "Edit..." button.
13. Add a check to "Create Files / Write Data" in the "Allow" column.
14. Add a check to "Create Folders / Append Data" in the "Allow" column.
15. Click OK.
16. Repeat Steps 5-13 for any other users or groups.
17. Click Apply.
18. Click OK.
19. Click OK.

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\ -
Repeat Steps 4-19 from above replacing C:\WINDOWS\ with C:\WINDOWS\Temp\

Thanks for the reply, I don't see anything on how to automate it over the network, but I will keep reading through the info.

I know it might not be what you need, but it will work.

That link lets you take full control of another PC. Once it is installed on the other PC, it starts automatically and sits in the system tray, letting you take over it

Have you tried using the cacls command at the command prompt (the syntax can change for what you want). This lets you change the account level for folders and files for different users.
