XP sometimes forgets or change video card configuration.

Here is the story I'm dealing with. I have XP-pro, pentium 4 cpu 2Ghz, motherboard is Intel 850, and a video card of Nvidia geforce2 mx400. Once in several startups of the computer, my XP forgets or even change the configuration of the video card. For example, it might change the definition of the video card from the one given above to some other card definition which belongs to Nvidia also, like mx100, or even default video card definition of XP. It sometime change the resolution of the screen. And so on.
I downloaded most up-to-date driver for my video card, but no good. Each time it occurs I need to run the setup of the video card to reinstall its driver.

Any idea how to tackle the problem? Your help will be appreciated!

Give this a go ...

Totally uninstall all the drivers for the Video Card.

Search your system for any other Video Card type files and uninstall / delete them.

Reboot the PC.

Cancel all the prompts to install drivers for the Video Card.

Install the Video Card drivers from the downloaded file.
