how can I do FTP to my pc from remote? Is XP-pro gives this option (how) or do I need a third party software (where).

If you want to provide FTP from windows XP, you can use Internet Information Services(IIS) within WindowsXP, which is very easy and useful. See the following thread about how to install IIS.
