Attempting to disable XP's built-in firewall makes the window stop responding
In case you don't know, Microsoft has a built-in firewall called the Internet Connection Firewall, or ICF.
I need to turn off this firewall to broadcast Internet radio (using SHOUTcast and Winamp) so that others can access my computer and hear it.
So I tried to turn it off (My Computer, right-click My Network Places on the bar on the left, click Properties, right click my LAN connection in the window that pops up, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, uncheck the "protect my computer..." box, click OK), but after I click OK, the window (in which I just clicked OK) stops responding. So I click End Task and is closes all Windows Explorer windows.
I later go back to see that it didn't turn off the firewall, and I'm back to where I started.
I have ZoneAlarm installed, but not running, so it's not that. What can I do?
