Weird "Bar" for Internet Explorer Blocking Websites? XP Help

Unforunately I downloaded a program that was loaded down with spyware. Random pop up pages and weird favorites. Fortunately I was able to get rid of them but now whenever i open internet explorer and it goes to my homepage (google) the address bar says "http://ecmh.com/passthrough/index.html?http://www.google.com/"and then i get this little pop up add thing thats attached to the bottom of my internet explorer bar and I also have this weird bar right under the Address bar. its called "ukzzssnckbc"...? I can close it down temporarily but then it just comes back up. How can i get rid of these things? I dont think my pop up software recognizes it as spyware but rather as part of internet explorer itself. Thanks.

Go to www.ad-aware.com and download ad-aware. It's free, and will scan for all known spyware. As for the address thing, if ad-aware doesn't fix that, go into the registry (regedit)

Go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\ URL\Prefixes

and make sure that www, mosaic, and home all have data http://

It may be that the spyware hijacked these values.
