Error 769: Error Message When I Try to Connect to the Internet Through a PPPoE Conn

Hi there,

I cannot connect to the internet throught a normal PPPoE manual set-up. I have just reinstalled Windows Media Edition and now I cannot connect to the internet. I have done a full scan with EVEREST Ultimate Edition.

Also, I checked under SYSTEM and there was a yellow question make next to Ethernet Controller. Maybe my driver is missing? I don't know how to reinstall the driver because I really don't know my network card.

If anyone could diagnose this report and tell me what I have to do to fix it, it'd be great.

If you are using your ethernet port to connect to your modem/router then the yellow ! will be the problem

That is a link to the Dell site for your model......grab the drivers for your network port and install them

Seems to be an Intel Network port (not the wireless port that is)

Worked perfectly, thanks.

But I also have an Audio Bus or something like that, and my sound isnt working. What do I have to do there? The audio driver didn't work.

No real idea as I don't get to play with many Dell's (gee I'm lucky) but I would look at the others first....any chipset or HD audio drivers then try the cound device itself

Quite often the sound depends on other drivers being installed in the right order
