limited user account

Hello all

been reading for a couple of hours now on many different sites and cant seem to get an answer to my problem.

the problem is that when i set up a second limited use account for my 7 year old and i customized her desktop and deleted all the shortcuts she wont need. it deleted the shortcuts from all accounts including the administrator account. why is this happening and do I correct the problem.

Sorry if this question has been answered before so a point in the right direction or an exact answer would be greatly appreciated

Easy solution, see all of the information for a user's desktop is stored in C:\documents and settings\<that users name>\desktop\. Some programs will place shortcuts in a folder called C:\documents and settings\all users\desktop\ and these icons will be visible to all uses (hence the folder name). When you deleted icons from the user page you were really deleting icons from the all users profile, what you should do is move them to your desktop folder, then they will be on the admin desktop and not the user.
