Annoying auto-completes

I have xp pro and need help!

When I begin to type a web address the clever little thing likes to auto-complete. This is all well and good, but there are sites in there that I have never visited - or at least not knowingly. Does anybody know how I clean out all the muck and start again, preferably without this auto-complete function?

Secondly, is there any way of removing the drop-down history of recent sites? A useful function, but terribly annoying at times on a shared pc!

Cheers

auto complete

no problem. Go to IE Tools menu. Select Content tab. Select AutoComplete link and you can clear everything there and disable the function altogether. Follow instructions on that page to clear web address history under General tab.
