Dual Channel Ram

I bought a stick of Patriot 512mb pc3200 ram and now I want to buy a stick of Kingston 512 pc3200..... will this work for dual channel?

I dont quite understand the Dual Channel Concept do you have to have the same manufacturer of ram? Can someone explain this...... THANKS

From what I gather from reading other threads you need the same memory i.e. size and manufacturer, so 2 x kingston ddr 512, not one crucial ddr 512 and one kingston ddr 512.

Memory works in cycles so they have to be perfectly matched.
