Outlook express

I am not able to send e-mail messages WITH attachments in Windows XP pro with Outlook Express, altough all settings are correct. Sending e-mails without attachments works, as well as receiving e-mails and surfing the web. There's also no other software installed, only Windows XP pro is on my machine. Who knows the solutions, because according to my ISP there's no problem at their side. Thanks for your solutions..

De TCP/IP-verbinding is onverwacht door de server afgebroken. Serverreactie : '421 error : timeout exceeded' (Account : Telenet Mail, SMTP-server : smtp.telenet.be, foutnummer : 0x800ccc0f).

From this it looks like your SMTP session on the server is timing out. What size is the attachment you are trying to send? How fast is your internet connection. If you are trying to send a large file on a slow connection (dial-up) the server will timeout before the send can complete.

the size of the attachment is max. 3 Mb and I have broadband (= cable).
