I am having trouble with the following error appearing when I try to play a few games. MACROMEDIA PROJECTOR HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE. WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this? I am using a powerful system with a 2.8 processor, and 2 GB Ram, ATI Radeon 9800 All in Wonder Video Card and just don't understand why I am getting this error?
Hi Chuck,
My girlfriend had the same problem, I fixed two of her games by right clicking on the desktop shortcut to the game, go to "Property", click on the "Compatiblity" tab and put a check in "Run this program in compatiblity mode for:, now try all the choices in the dropdown box (win95, win98/win me,etc. etc) one at a time til it works. Hers work when I selected Windows Nt 4.0 service pack 5. Hope this works
Hi...my Comcast Photoshow just crashed today... I called Comcast and was told that maybe I do not have enough ram to run the program as it takes alot...duh..I have been running this program awhile but today it pooped out on me just in time for my open house...it just freezes and when I go to control alt delete I get a system message telling me the photoshoto is not responding. Then I get an error message that is to be forward to Microsoft but it mentions Macromedia player stuff. So I have defraged, deleted files and reloaded macromedia player but it still doesn't work and freezes...someone please help me...I need to burn some CD's from my photoshow for my open house tomarrow...Thanks.

I was having this problem, searched and found nothing.
I finally contacted Microsoft by phone and told them the problem.
All I had to do was uninstall the software, then reboot in "clean mode"
(meaning no startup programs and everything BUT the microsoft programs shut off). I then reinstalled the program to it's default folder (where program wants to be installed) and it works fine. I have since allowed the startup programs etc. to run.
Give that a try, and hopefully it will work for you too.
If this helps, please pass on the information. There are MANY people having this same problem.
I have been trying to access my Nero Photoshow Elite for the last week or so but the same message keeps popping up, "Macromedia Projector has encountered a problem and needs to close." Then it gives me the option to send error report which I have done like every time. I have read all the solutions on this page and tried all them as well..but still cannot access it. If someone knows how to fix this it would be EXTREMELY appreciated. THANK YOU
