Display Properties, when I apply changes it takes ages....sometimes....

When i change the appearence of my desktop, and I apply the changes, it's very fast to apply. The "PElase Wait screen is there for about a second. But about after an hour of the PC being switched on, the change rate slows down a lot. It takes about 30 seconds to apply, for the same thing.My PC has good specs, so it shouldn''t be doing this.

Is it only with a desktop change that it slows down?

Hmm, maybe you have a lot of apps open, I think it might take longer to change the apperance on multiple windows. Or you might have a memory leak that grows as your computers runs.

I go to Contrl Panel then Display. Then Appearence and thene advanced.

I havent got anyApps running.

Also could be a cooling problem.
