Urgent advice needed

We have a small LAN using 2 NT4 servers. All the clients were Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows ME and connecting to the domain correctly. Recently, we bought a few notebook computers using Windows XP Pro. I tried to logon the server without success. Can someone tell me if the servers need to be configured something extra in order to allow Windows xp Pro to connect or specific configuration on client side need to be done.
