XP Setup Keeps Crashing

Hi,

Has anyone experienced the following problem.

I keep trying to load XP onto my PC but it keeps crashing. At present i run W2K but even then my grahics card has problems with high quality images. Is it definately the graphics card??

Here are the details of my Pc

motherboard - AK77 - 8X MAX (VIA APOLLO KT 400) ATHLON CHIPSET

hard drive - SATA 150 TX2 Plus (serial Ata - Seagate)

Video Card - Nvidia GeForce Ti 4200

We need more info. When you say installation "crashes", what does that mean exactly? Is there an error message? Does the computer just turn off?

And with your present problem, what do you mean your vid card has "problems" with high res images? What kind of problems? What happens?
