XP corrupt profiles

i'm rescently having alot of trouble getting a stable profile going.

the other day, my main profile went corrupt. I can't think of anything odd that I was doing to cause this.

I searched the web for a while but I found very little on corrupt profiles and couldn't find a topic in these forums about it.

I used the System Restore and it worked for a day before corrupting again, and System Restore would no longer work.

Ok, so i made a fresh account... but even on my very first log in with a new account, its corrupt.

I tried copying my old profile data into a new one, that didn't work, and I notice it doesn't copy everything anyway (?).

I get the little dialog window on the log on screen saying it's corrupt, then have to wait ages to get to desktop with a %NODIR_ERROR% (or similar) error message

There's only 1 sole reason that I care about my old profile... the 50mb of emails and all the information, links, documents, attachments that are important to me in them... which I've noticed "dissapear" when profiles corrupt.

From now on i'll do constant exports of my Inbox...

....any help with this? If I could safely retrieve my emails, I'm fine with a full format and re-install.

yep, it came up with a box with a countdown saying it's corrupt...

I did a System Restore to an earlier date and it fixed everything for about 24hrs.

Now any new profile, and most older ones are all corrupt, only enabling me to log into a default profile.

It's just getting worse and worse!

Have you fixed this yet?

I have a few profiles on my PC and I'm having the exact same problem with one of them (the others work ok). It's driving me mad!
