Unhappy Windows XP Hard Drive Problem

I've just installed XP Pro on my sisters computer on a 40Gb hard drive, during setup I was asked if I wanted to partition the drive to which I replied yes and entered 5Gb, but on completion of setup I now seem to have lost the other 35 Gb of hard drive space that I had left, I'm pulling my hair out wondering what to do to get it back as my sis is obviously not very happy, if anyone can help at all I'd be extremley grateful. Thanks

The best program in my mind for partitioning is PartitionMagic Pro, it makes it easier and safer.

You DO NOT NEED partition magic, or to reinstall.

XP can do it.

You can partiton and format any disk while in XP as long asit is not the system disk.

Right click My Computer/Manage/Storage/Disk Management.

Disk Management can partition and format any NON SYSTEM part of the hard drive.
