When loading windows xp...

When loading XP after i enter my password it hangs for about two minutes, i thought it may be because i had spyware active on my computer but when i got a VERY handy piece of equipment called spybot serach and destroy, it got rid of all the spyware and adware, can someone tell me why my computer hangs when loading, also, it never used to!

Id be greatful for an answer as i know its not a life or death situation but it is very annoying!!!!

Sounds like you have the right spyware, have you tried Lavasoft Adaware? Also check the registry, Registry First Aid. Both these programs are free or free trial.

What so you think my problem is still Adware? I HATE THE PEOPLE WHO INVENTED THOSE!!!

I got 'AdWare 6.0' - a very nifty piece of equpiment, wiped 140 adware files from my system, even after i searched with spybot Search and Destroy! But my system still hangs at the load up, got any other ideas?

I can only tell you what works for me.........
Adaware
Spybot search and destroy
Registry First Aid
Nortons One button checkup
and then I defrag
if cleaning it up doesn't do it.....then can't help you

I do want to warn you when using a registry cleaner, be sure you know what you're doing, what to delete and what to keep.
