Problem: XP handles removable device (ipod) very strange

hi,

i got a really strange problem.
after removing my cdrom drive for installing linux on my router i connected my ipod again and suddenly it mounts the ipod as a dosdevice (so the registry calles it - iso9660 i think). i'm also using daemon tools for mounting virtual cds/dvds etc. (maybe daemon-tools fscked it up... i dunno)

so maybe its just a little registry hack so that xp mounts it "normal" again when i next connect my ipod over my 1394 (firewire) port.

maybe one of you geeks knows a solution for this. i tried so many forums/help pages/tried searching the registry for smth suspicous... but no success at all.
so this is my last hope.

thanks for reading.
