Lost user...

MSN had me add a new user (with admin status) and I lost the original user with all of my files and settings. I can search for the files and they are there, and all of the programs are still there. The amdin is not disabled in user management. How do I bring the original user/profile back up?TIA

EDIT: Intel Pentuim 4 1.8 mhz

Update: The admin is there in safe mode and all my files are there, but when I boot up in normal mode it's not there. WTF?

If you can see the Admin user appears to be there, then reset the password for it and reboot your system, and try o loging on the startup into Admin profile to see the Admin and everyone else's setting.

MSN (cust service) had me ass user to setup new internet (joke). Thanks. I disabled the second, new user and set up a password for the admin user. It came up when I booted up normally, and I was able to disable the password. Now it comes up. Thanks!!

No longer able to access "administrator" user or any of my settings

I added a new user (with admin status) and have lost all my previous settings. Can only get them back when I go into "safe mode". I saw PCOPLIN was able to correct this, but i didn't really understand fully how you did it. Can you go into a little more detail? Thanks!
