Internet Explorer Problem - Need Help!

When I click on a web page in Internet Explorer 6 the page loads instantly but hangs for 15-20 seconds before advancing within page or another site. This problem began 2 days ago and I have not loaded anything new. I tried to delete cookies, Temp files and history files. I also ran spyware and virus programs and did not resolve this problem.

I am running a wireless network, Windows XP Pro. The problem only exists on my desktop connected to the router. The Other Notebook and Desktop are fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Click Start, Run, Type Regedt32 and Look for

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace/{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}

If you want to backup this up 1st and then delete the key.
Go in the regedt32 registry editor, navigate to the NameSpace key :

Right click {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}
Click Export. From the Export Registry File dialog box in the File Name text box :
Type the filename of your choice as in restoreshare
Click Save
This saves the file names (for example), restoreshare.reg to the My Documents folder. Its now safe to delete the key.
Right click {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}
Click Delete
Click Yes in the Confirm Key Delete dialog box.

The above tweak eliminates a "bug" in Microsoft Windows. When setup in a networking enviroment, Windows when connecting to a network, will search the entire network for shared files, drives, folders. This can delay access times by as 30 seconds or more. By using the tweak above, it eliminates that problem.

Stroke of genius Bob !
Firefox browser works fine.
Sod Microsoft and their fantastically involved repairs and re-install procedures that don't work.
Thanks for that tip !
