Problems with drive permissions

I have an 80gb hard drive in 4 partitions, i selected drives d,e and f, right clicked and went to properties, then clicked on the security tab, which brings up a pop up about the drives not having the same permissions and do you want to reset permissions. i accidently pressed yes, which started a progress box doing something which i cancelled out of, and now i cannot access the d or e drives and some folders on the f drive when i click on these it says i dont have permission to access the folder. i have an administrator account. how can i fix this??

Log on with an account with administrative rights, you may have to go into safe mode and use the built in administrator account, got to "My computer" and "Right Click" on the drive you want to change the permissions and click "Sharing and security". Under the "security" tab highlight the Administrators group and give it full control. you can also set the permissions for the other groups and users from here. Do this will all the drives you have problems with and the problem should be solved. You may have to do the same with the folders on the F drive.
