Exclamation DXdiag and graphics problems

I have been trying to sort out my mates computer. When playing games like Call of duty 2 and BF2 there are big chunks of lines coming all over the screen. When i checked out the DXdiag draw tests the cube was spinning really quick and couldnt really tell what it was. I reinstall the Directx 9.0c from the MS website but made no difference.
I have recently upgraded his compaq with a Nvidia 6600 asus card and 1GB of memory. Any one got any ideas???

Thanks

Damo

Even when the grpahics are turned down there is still chunks of lines over the screen. The machine is a 2.5 P4 and after the card and memory going in it more than meets the requirements.
Is the cube related to how the card is drawing graphics then???

It does look like that but when u go into the test direct3d the cube is spinning really fast and u can hardly see what it is. This is what i think is causing the peoblems with games. when the game is running, be it BF2 or COD 2 the grpahics are just a mess.
