when even i download something it becomes a compressed zip file. can someone help me?

Are you sure it's not ALREADY a zip file? Most files you DL on the web are zip. I've never heard of XP zipping things automatically.

for example i just downloaded a picture file and saved it on my desktop. after it finishes its a ZIP file.

i agree with njovin 99% of the stuff you download are zipped files. do you have a download manager or download speed up program?
