Having trouble seeing secondary drive...

Hi Folks,

I just got done building a new PC using a AMD XP2400 and a ASUS A7V333 mother board. I have taken both my primary and secondary drives out of my previous XP machine to use in the new one. I did back up all my data on the secondary drive as XP like to format on install. The install went great, no errors and found all my new hardware. It does see and reconize my secondary drive but wants to format it when I try to gain acces to my data. I did verify that both drives were formatted as NTFS before pulling the drives from the previous machine. Any ideas on how to recover from this? I really don't want to loose my data this time.

there is a tool called PE builder, then you download it and use your own windows xp CD to make a custom windows PE which is supporting ntfs natively, you boot with that CD and it gives you access to you hard drive, then you can move files between hards easily, there are ton's of plug-in's you can get for it, such as browser or drive cloner
