Selectively execute drivers on bootup in XP?

In Win9x you were able to selectively execute each driver on startup by press F8 during the boot sequence. Does anyone know if there's a way to do this in XP?

I'm getting a problem where my harddisk goes berserk for about 10 minutes after logging in. If I boot in Safe mode, the problem does not occur so I'm presuming one of the drivers is causing me heartache but how do I narrow down which one it is ???

Details of my OS:
XP Professional
I login on a local domain and a work domain (problem occurs in both).
Not using any special hardware profiles or anything
Norton Anti-Virus
Dell Inspiron 8200

goto start then run type msconfig then press ok, goto startup and disable a single item at a time apply and keep doing this till your boot up time is back to normal, once it is you will know what app is causing this..

Spot on !! Thanks mate. I finally found the little bugger and removed it, now she boots up nice and quick.
