Losing Admin Priviledges XP Pro

I have now lost my admin priv. on XP Pro for the 3rd time. I am not acknowledged as an administrator any longer. (these are the 2 constants each time this has happened)....
I cannot edit my websites with Front Page. I cannot download my virus definition files. I am the ONLY user on the system.



I am virtually unemployed until I can remedy this situation.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's help that is familar with this problem.

sounds like a virus, may not be but would like to rule out the possibility. use a on-line scanner to double check your on-board.

can you log in as administrator in safe mode? press F8 constantly while the computer is booting up select safe mode from the list when it comes up, try the admin account from there.
