Question Setting Time/Date - More Complicated Than You Think

Hi all,
I am running Windows XP and I used to be able to set my time to be synced with a server (through the Date/Time option on the taskbar). I was on a domain, but a few days ago I had to get my machine ghosted and I no longer have the option to sync my time (the bar does not even appear).

I have heard that there is a way to do it - how?

Thanks.
-Will

Set your pointer over the time and right click/click "adjust date/time"/in the Properties box, click "Internet Time" Tab/from there, it is obvious what you can do.

It's fine, but I am rather impressed considering I know a fair amount and spent quite some time trying to figure it out.

Thumbs up

Will,
While you are in there, set the thing to automatically update the time in an interval to your liking. I had mine set at one time to check with the server once each day but finally reset it to once per week. Also, as to the newbie stuff, what you do rarely is easily forgotten. My point is that the only dumb question is one where you already know the answer.

By default, XP synchronizes every 7 days.
