laptop display problems

hey i have a toshiba laptop w/ xp pro.

My problem is somewhat like wills in the older part of this forum.
I have all that junk, but my laptop display sometimes messes up. it may work sometimes then it glitches and the screen goes black. The drivers r updated but i think its hardware. Ummm i don't think its a virus because i have the most up to date things and i jsut scanned my computer.
sometimes it may take me 3 or 4 times jsut to load up my computer because the screen is black.... any ideas please reply. Sry if the specs r over the top

I have a screen shot so if any1 wants to see maybe to help me i can email it 2 them.
I get that annoying microsoft windows error report saying that Mobility M6 "the display driver" is the problem blah blah blah.

i see alot of problems with toshiba laptops, 9 times out of 10 there is a patch for it on the site, either bios or the controller software. i looked up the model you listed, they make several different ones, so you will have to look it up to make sure you get the correct ones. laptops have several third party controllers so it is a possibility this is your problem. they list the drivers in a odd way, make sure you get the newest one for each item. updates from other software programs, even xp cause glitches with the orriginal versions of what came with your laptop.

they also have very good tech support and toll free numbers.
on the communications link on the link above you can find several ways to contact them.
