Cant install Bootvis

when i try to install this program i get a message " The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. this can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the windows installer is not installed correctly. contact your support personnel for assistance"
any suggestions why i cant install it? is it cause i config the services on XP?

Did you check the services Control Panel to see if the installer service is actually running?

Go to the Run dialog and type services.msc and scroll down to "Windows Installer" and make sure it's running, like njovin said.

That's about the only possibility.

Also, you must have COM+ Event System and Task Scheduler services started in order for Bootvis to do anything besides waste time. I leave Task Scheduler on anyway so I can make use of the Prefetching.

I know, it's annoying but M$ decided they had to be running.
