windows update issues

I am having problems updating my Windows XP machine. I am running Xp with service pack 1, just did a fresh install 2 days ago. Now when I try to update my machine I can only get to the point after you can "review and install" then when I try to click on the "Install Now " button nothing happens. I have also tried to tab to the button and hit enter nothing seems to work. I have gotten most of the updates from the Download Center, but there are a few that are not available. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Not sure if this will help but goto tool internet options then advanced and check install on demand.

did u disable automatic updates?

Az that would not make a difference mate, as he is trying to install manuely from windows update..
