Deleting Passport and Other personal info

I want to give my older XP Home computer to a relative. I do not want to reformat, because many hours have been spent downloading and installing updates to XP Home, and also because there is a lot of general files and data I have acquired during the years, that he is interested in keeping.

So, how do I delete such files as my MSN passport, ISP dialers and passwords, Email passwords, etc.?

I know how to wipe the data clean with Norton wipedisk/e, once I have deleted those personal identification files, but I don't know how to find those personal data files so they can be deleted.

Go to start > control panel > user accounts > click on your account > click on manage my network passwords > delete the ones you like.
Next go to start > control panel > internet options > under the "general tab" delete cookies, temporary internet files, and history. Under the "content" tab clear autocomplete and personal profile.
In control panel you will find "internet connections" - delete or disable the unwanted connection.
If you are using Outlook, you will want to delete your accounts and addresses etc.
All I can think of off-hand.

create a new user (administraitor) account, move any files you want to leave to it, or the shared folder. delete your old account. go to start, connect to, show all connections and delete the isp dialers. you can right click my computer, select properties, and change the computer name,..ect. if you registered it to your name that will stay. by creating a new user account it gets new credentials so all your stuff you wanted to keep private is gone when you delete your account and dont save the files. all the programs will still be there.

Thanks much for that info. It worked real easy once I knew precisely what to do.
