System restarts shortly after booting
Hello. Recently my system running WinXP Pro started restarting itself shortly after booting. But here's the kicker...it only does it once. I can be using it for hours and hours afterward without nothing so much as a monitor flicker. Just the restart shortly after boot. I checked event viewer and here is what I found at the restart point:
(I'll use the last time for example) Yellow exclamation point Warning 3/14/04 5:30:29 PM Dhcp Event #1007 Your computer has automatically configured the IP address for the Network Card with network address 521F47B737C0. The IP address being used is 169.254.42.161.
Following this is a red X error 3/14/04 5:31:01 PM Service Control Manager #7026 The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
atapi
PCIIde
So any ideas? Like I said everything is running fine. Thanks again for any assistance.
